Hello everyone…

I am sad to say that there will be no Austin AutoRama in 2012.  We had one scheduled for February 24 – 26, 2012, but suddenly some of the people that had approached Tony and I over the past several years to do an Austin show and wanted to be a part of it as show sponsors have backed out.  

Austin, Texas is a very cost prohibitive town in which to produce a show of the caliber that we wanted to do.  Unfortunately without the backing of the additional sponsors we cannot afford to produce it on our own.  Therefore, we have had to cancel.  It is not something we wanted to do, but we had no choice.  We still think Austin could be a great show.

We especially want to thank Gordon Leland of Alamo Hot Rod Parts and Richard Wood of Custom Car Crafters, as well as Keith Newman of  Spotted Ape Racing and Lone Star Car Club for their sponsorship support and for having the same excitement and vision for the show that we had. 

A quick thank-you also goes out to Mercury Charlie, Stephanie Myers of American National Insurance and Todd and Charlie McLemore of Magnum Trailers,  who have all been helping to promote the show and working in their own way to get the word out and the excitement up around the Austin area.  Also to two car clubs, the Capital City Modern Mopars and the Mopar Muscle Club who were excited to be a part of the show and had agreed to have their members working the show for us.   Thanks guys!

To the exhibitors and vendors…..we apologize sincerely.  Many, many thanks to those who believed in us and had already signed up to participate in this great event as either an exhibitor or vendor.
